The Rugby team of Tonga is the national team of Tonga that represents the Kingdom of Tonga in men’s international Rugby.
Team Tonga participates in the Rugby World Cup and plays international rugby matches.
The history of the rugby team of the Kingdom of Tonga dates back to the 1920s with the formation of the Tonga Rugby Football Union in 1923. The current head coach of the team is Toutai Kefu, a Rugby coach and former player of the Tongan team.
Team Tonga is nicknamed “Ikale Tahi” in the Tongan language which means the “Sea Eagles.” The Sea Eagles' first appearance in the Rugby World Cup was in 1987 unfortunately, they have never been past the pool stage.
Team Tonga’s playing kit includes red and white colors, mostly white shirts, red shorts, and white socks.
The team plays their home matches at Tuefaiva Sports Stadium located in Nuku’alofa, Tonga.
