The Rugby team of Portugal consists of professional and talented Rugby players who play for their country in men’s international rugby tournaments.

Team Portugal competes in the annual Rugby Europe International Championship, World Rugby Nations Cup, and Rugby World Cup.

The sport was introduced in the country in the 1920s and was internationally played for the first time in 1935, and since then, it has been played regularly.

The Portuguese Rugby Federation, which organizes rugby matches and the national team, was formed in 1926.

Team Portugal has qualified for only one Rugby World Cup till now, which was the 2007 Rugby World Cup, in which they lost all matches at the pool stage. They did not qualify for three seasons of the World Cup after that.
