Team Fiji is Fiji’s national Rugby Union team that plays men’s international rugby matches representing their country in the sport all over the world.

Team Fiji competes in the Rugby World Cup and Pacific Tri-Nations tournament, a rugby competition between three Pacific nations Tonga, Fiji, and Samoa.

Team Fiji has been the most successful team in the history of the Pacific Tri-Nations. However, they have not been as successful in the Rugby World Cup.

Their best performances came in the inaugural season of the Rugby World Cup held in 1987 and the 2007 Rugby World Cup, in which they reached the quarterfinal stage of both tournaments.

The history of the sport in the Republic of Fiji dates back to 1984, and Rugby is mostly the only sport that is widely admired and played in the country. 

Out of their total population of approximately 950,000, more or less 80,000 rugby players are registered.

The Fiji Rugby Union, an organization that was founded in 1915, is the body responsible for the Rugby Union in Fiji that administers the team.

The nickname of the team Fiji is “Flying Fijians,” and they play their home matches at ANZ National Stadium in Suva, Fiji.
