Team Wales is the National Rugby Union team of Wales that plays men’s international rugby matches representing their country in the sport.

Team Wales competes annually in the Six Nations Championship. They have been part of the competition since its inception when it was known as Home Nations. 

Wales is the second most successful team in the history of the Six Nations Championship. They have appeared 129 times in the tournament, from which they have outright won 28 times and have 11 shared victories.

Team Wales also competes in the Rugby World Cup, and their best performance came in the inaugural tournament in which they finished third. Since then, they have competed in every World Cup but have never won one.

Their performance in the 2021 World Cup was remarkable in the initial stages, which took them to the semi-finals in which they lost to South Africa.

Team Wales was formed in 1881 with the Welsh Rugby Union, an organization for the sport in the country.

Warren Gatland is the current head coach of the team, Warren named their squad for the Rugby World Cup 2023 in May 2023.

Wales Rugby team has seen many notable players over time, Eighteen players of the Wales have been enlisted in the World Rugby Hall of Fame.
